Showing appreciation to your customers is very important, especially if you want to keep them (who doesn’t?). In this economy, how do we do that? Here are some ideas that are inexpensive and can be both personal and memorable.
The old fruit basket is out, so what now? One often-used approach is a well-crafted email of thanks. Somewhat personal, but fleeting. And do you have time for that? Hmm. Next idea.
Send them a gift certificate everyone likes those. Eats a little profit, but that’s ok. The thing is, they aren’t very personal. Also, by the time they want to use it, they have to find it first. Next.
One way to show your appreciation is by sending a greeting card. A real one. Signed in ink, by hand. Sent in the mail. Delivered by a human. Wow!
Think of the last time you received a greeting card. The feel of it in your hands, how personable it was, how happy you felt. Did you put it on your desk for everyone to see? Do you think of that person when you need the product or service they provide?
