Isn't Thanksgiving just a day to stuff a turkey and yourself, then snooze through a football game?
Here’s the short story of Thanksgiving, with a little food for thought.
Plymouth Colony in 1621, during a long, harsh winter, half of the colony died from disease and starvation. That spring, their new Indian friends taught them how to grow native crops. In the autumn, the colonies crops of corn, beans and pumpkins were abundant which sustained them in the tough times to come. The Pilgrims were truly grateful for the help from their friends!
